Barack Obama and the Audacity of Arrogance
Apr 14th, 2008 by jimbyrd
Three hundred million people in the United States of America and the best the Democrat Party could produce is Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for president. One is a conspicuously pathological misstater, the other an arrogant, elitist Marxist–completely void of any discernible rationalization, nor pedigree, for such a disposition. The Republican Party, on the other hand, did produce far better conservative choices than John McCain, but a less than democratic nominating system, for either party, resulted in the early demise of more promising candidacies.
The originally undisputed heir apparent to the Democrat throne, Hillary Clinton, along with her husband, Bill, and daughter, Chelsea, have perfected the art of pathologically misstating facts. One must assume that the Clinton clan lives by the credo of “a family that lies together, stays together”. It would also be correct to assume that the baggage the Clinton family brings to the election process, would rival the inventory of a Louis Vuitton distribution center.
Barack Obama entered the presidential arena with a blank, to the majority of the country, resume. He ascended with an intellect and oratory skills best suited for prepared and practiced speeches. For an individual who is championed as a great communicator, Obama spends an inordinate amount of time trying to explain to the masses what he actually said, or what he really meant to say, as opposed to what he said. When either Obama, or his wife, are speaking without the safety net of preparation, it is comparable to witnessing an individual accelerating their automobile, with disconnected breaks, to the speed of 70 miles per hour, then unceremoniously tossing the steering wheel out the window–it is not a matter of if they will crash, but when and how hard.
These two candidates have spent roughly half their campaign apologizing for either misstating facts, denigrating Americans, supporting racism, or trying to distance themselves from dirty campaign money.
Obama, as most people are aware of, is of mixed race, but he is also of a mixed cerebral constitution. There is no denying he is smart. There is also no denying, to anyone who has not imbibed of the Kool-Aid, he is an idiot. He has vigorously demonstrated he is, at a minimum, equally balanced with smarts and idiocy. Because of this affliction, he should perpetually be precluded from being classified, with any legitimacy, as an intellectual.
While hawking his Socialist agenda, for cold cash, on Billionaire’s Row in San Francisco at the Getty home, Barack Obama had this to say, directly referring to rural Pennsylvania, about small towns in the U.S.A. to an audience comprised of liberal, sycophant elitist:
You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them…And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.
And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
This was a private fund raising affair with no press coverage, but there was a clandestine audio recording of his speech, and the story was broken, no less, by the Huffington Post–a spurious conglomeration of defects that bow and pray 5 times per day to whatever geographical area Obama may visiting.
Barack Obama’s damage control apology, an increasingly perfunctory routine of his and Clinton’s, was his most arrogant non-apology to date.
Obviously, if I worded things in a way that made people offended, I deeply regret that. The underlying truth of what I said remains, which is simply that people who have seen their way of life upended because of economic distress are frustrated and rightfully so.
There was nothing in the wording nor the content of his statement that was not offensive. There is no plausible rearranging or substituting of words that can change the point he was making to his Marxist devotees. This is Obama without a steering wheel; this is Obama’s disposition of small towns across America.
If you own a gun, believe in God, want our borders protected, disagree with gay marriage, and want the immigration laws enforced, you must be an imbecilic, uneducated cretin and only Obama, the Messiah, can lead you to the Promised Land. According to Obama, you have contracted this affliction because you are white–white being the demographic of small towns across America–you came to your religion only because of economic desperation–rather than the bosom of a polemic and racist pastor–this distress has caused you to embrace the Second Amendment and cling to your guns, this distress has caused you to hate an invasion from a third world country’s citizens who are breaking our laws and breaching a border so porous it threatens our national security, but fear not, Obama and the government will set you free from your clinging.
This was manna from the sky for the Clinton campaign and immediate action was warranted, and for McCain it was something to put into the bank. Within hours she was conjuring up the image, not unlike the Bosnia trip, of a buckskin clad, six gun wearing, beer and whiskey drinking cowgirl, who when not out on the range firing her six shooter, spends most of her time in church contemplating the value of the 2nd Amendment and praying for small towns across the U.S.
If you separate the obtuse orator, Obama, from the original statement and its denigrating intent, then have it delivered in another context by an accredited historian, Obama’s words: …all they had to cling to were their guns, their faith in God, cling to our national sovereignty (disdain for illegal immigration)…having become a bitter nation, it could be assumed that the statement was referencing the circumstances of the founding fathers and a young United States of America backing them up.
In conclusion, sometimes clinging to your guns, clinging to your religion, harboring a disdain for the breach of our national security and sovereignty, and being filled with bitterness toward any entity that wants to compromise these rights, historically, is a thing to be admired.
Great article Jim! I pushed this article to the front page of the site. Keep up the awesome work!
Great! Here’s my synopsis of our three choices for President:
1) A pathological liar who is only interested in obtaining power, centralizing the government, then distributing that power amongst her cronies.
2) A neophyte who, because he talks with the voice of a DJ and is 1/2 black is being hailed as no less than a Messiah that is going to unite America under the banner of - I don’t know what. Why can’t white people claim him as one of their own. His mom is whiter than me. I remain confused how anyone of mixed race with a black parent is immediately adopted as black (ie Tiger Woods). Tiger is as much Asian-American as he is African-American. BTW - since Trevor Immelman is from South Africa and lives in the US, can’t it be said that he’s the second African-American to win the Masters?
3) A 150 year old war veteran who, by his own admission, is ignorant on economic issues and is absolutely drooling to: a)continue the lovely war with Iraq in which so much good is happening b)start a war with Iran immediately c)try as hard as possible to goad China and Russia into hostile status.
instead of them we be better off with ed the talking horse
I’ll have to bring myself to read the full article later. The stopper happened in the very first sentence, “…and the best the Democrat Party…” It is called the “Democratic Party”, sir, not the Democrat Party. Pleeezzzzz! Get your shit together. You immediately sound like that world class know nothing, Rush Limbaugh, who also constantly refers to the Democratic Party with…the wrong name.
Interesting that you do use the correct name for the Republican Party. Why is it that you just can’t get the other one right? I’ll be happy to actually read your stuff when you can demonstrate a slightly higher level of knowledge of basic stuff. Let’s work on the basic stuff first.
First and foremost, to make the point clear for my use of the term “Democrat Party”–Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi are Democrats. A fact that is not arguable. But a fact that could be considered subjective, dependent on one’s intelligence and knowledge of the actual meaning of the word democratic, the “Democrat Party” is the antipathy of the democratic philosophy. And as far as the party in general, there is nothing democratic about it.
I will try to refrain, for clarity’s sake and yours, and refer to it as just the Donkey Party, or just the Jackass Party—depending on the inanity of the day. The term “Democrat Party” has evolved to become an epitheton for the party in general.
What concerns me more than your lack of discernment between the term democrat and democratic and their application to the current gaggle of buffoons within the Democrat Party, is your adolescent use of the word stuff three times in one short paragraph.
Are you trying to pass yourself off as some pseudo- intellectual in the vein of Einstein (E=mc² with e=energy—m=mass, or lots of stuff—c=the speed of light in a vacuum). Or perhaps you are just trying to duplicate Steven Hawkings. I remember a quote by Hawkings concerning the universe which reminded me of you. He stated, “In the following discourse, I will attempt to explain my theoretical prediction that black holes–things that are full of stuff, because they suck just tons of stuff into them from the universe with this, like, really strong gravity and stuff–withstanding their gravitational pull, emit radiation.”
So in closing, you can read my stuff or not read my stuff. I am not sure my stuff would be of your liking since it is full of stuff about the Democrat Party and other liberal stuff.
Stuffingly yours,
JB
You rock, JB!
