To preface the ensuing New Your Post article below, here are a few quotes from Hillary Clinton concerning the use of terrorism in politics:

From the Washington Post: “Terrorism shouldn’t be a Democratic fight or a Republican fight.”

From the Albany Times-Union: “The Bush administration had used the war on terror as a “political tool” to frighten Americans into submission.”

From the United Auto Workers legislative policy conference in Washington: “Contrary to Franklin Roosevelt who had nothing to fear but fear itself, this crowd is, ‘All we got is fear and we’re going to keep playing the fear card.’ ”

The following article from the New York Post highlights Hillary Clinton’s contrasting statements from the past in regard to using terrorism for political gain and her current concerns and the ramifications of a terrorist attack on U.S. soil before the next presidential election:

HILL: TERROR WOULD BE GOP BOOST

By GEOFF EARLE

August 24, 2007 — WASHINGTON – Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton yesterday raised the prospect of a terror attack before next year’s election, warning that it could boost the GOP’s efforts to hold on to the White House.

Discussing the possibility of a new nightmare assault while campaigning in New Hampshire, Clinton also insisted she is the Democratic candidate best equipped to deal with it.

“It’s a horrible prospect to ask yourself, ‘What if? What if?’ But if certain things happen between now and the election, particularly with respect to terrorism, that will automatically give the Republicans an advantage again, no matter how badly they have mishandled it, no matter how much more dangerous they have made the world,” Clinton told supporters in Concord.

“So I think I’m the best of the Democrats to deal with that,” she added.

The former first lady made the surprising comments as she explained to supporters that she has beaten back the GOP’s negative attacks for years, and is ready to do so again.

The thought of another 9-11 is a horrendous thought to any legitimate American citizen. It conjures up the video footage of the planes flying into the Twin Towers; the people jumping out windows to escape the inferno; the aftermath of the destruction in the city; the horrific loss of human life; the economic damage in the billions caused by the terrorist attack; the mourning of a nation; a nation in disbelief and shock.

The operative word above is legitimate American citizen. There are slices of the populace that would be pleased and believe an attack was deserved as Ward Churchill, the esteemed professor at the University of Colorado, so proudly advocated.. There are certain religious and ethnic groups living in the U.S. that would be sympathetic towards an act of terrorism.

Then you have Hillary Clinton’s typical androidic rhetoric. Another terrorist attack on U.S. soil would be a horrific political blow to her presidential campaign. Her only narcissistic concern is the edge it would give the Republicans. Humanity be damned. There is less than an infinitesimal quantity of altruism from this political drone. Playing the terrorist card is just politics as usual with Hillary Clinton.
