Envision a private school operated and funded by the Saudi government that is teaching Wahhabi Islamism–the extreme and violent form of Islam. The Wahhabi curriculum covers grades K-12. Now this probably would not set off any alarms, as this would not be alien within the confines of a Muslim nation. As disconcerting as this type of education may seem, it would be out of the control of the western hemisphere. Now picture this exact campus sitting just outside Washington, D.C. in the Commonwealth of Virginia with a student body of 1000 pupils.
It’s hard to imagine that the United States was rife with Nazis prior and up to the start of WW II, but they did exist.
