Could there be anything more perverse than to expect a congressman to actually read a bill before voting on it? According to Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), the only thing perverse would be to actually read a bill before voting on it.

21-term congressman, John Conyers, while laughing, surmised why the Democrat Party, on its best day, is an ignoble lot. His assurance of continued ignobleness came while addressing the reason lawmakers should not take the time to read the health care bill, or any other bill, for that matter: “I love these members, they get up and say, ‘Read the bill.’ What good is reading the bill if it’s a thousand pages and you don’t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?”

If you never read another printed word or broadcasted opinion defining the morally and intellectually barren Democrat Party, these two sentences uttered by John Conyers embody all you ever need to know about the Democrat Party. It also would not hurt to add a dash of John Conyers history of political corruption and ethics violations, to which he pleaded guilty. Perhaps you could add to the mix his wife Monica Conyers’ recent conviction of taking bribes as a Detroit City Councilwoman. She is free on $250,000 bond and faces 5 years in prison when sentenced.

These Republican form of government apostates who infest the Democrat Party have been labeled anti-American by those who are comfortable with their patriotism, but anti-American is too benign a characterization: they simply lack the aptitude to be Americans.

Monica Conyers is the Detroit City Council president pro tem. She has worked to bring class and dignity to Detroit, a city that has record crime, record rates in unemployment, record rates of home foreclosures, record rates of high school drop-outs, record poverty levels. It is with leaders like her, as opposed to her husband, that have the ability to uplift an out of control City Council, and hopefully the entire city of Detroit. She could be the catalyst for Detroit being a modern day Phoenix.

In a recent dust up with the president of the City Council while defending her honor, Monica held her ground yet never lost her composure and defended herself with an astute command of the King’s English. A lesson that certain members of the U.S. Congress should try and replicate. There are several paths to diffusing a disagreement, but Monica Conyers always takes the high road. One of the best defenses is a well articulated, yet dignified argument.

Yet, she does have her detractors.

The Centre for the Study of Evolution at the University of Sussex has been studying Monica for years and has declared that she is the first known case of a living organism that can be witnessed going through de-evolution.

She threatened to get a gun and shoot an aide to Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick at a city pension board meeting and had to be physically restrained.

She was questioned by police for starting a bar fight with another woman and punching her in the eye.

According to an official police report, her 10 year old son flagged down a police cruiser and told the officers that his mother pulled a gun on him and threatened to shoot him. She did pull a gun on him, but only after he pulled a butcher knife on her, she stated.

She was set up by her own spokesperson to talk with a very aggressive group of 8th graders who questioned her class and her ability to act like an adult.

Monica Conyers is a great champion for gaining respect for the black community and its ability to lead. These detractors have conspired to bring down a very dignified and classy lady. The following video will shed some light on how her detractors have attacked her, especially a radical group of 8th graders. To Monica’s credit, the 8th graders left the meeting with valuable insight as to how to conduct themselves as adults thanks to Monica’s mentoring.
