There was a moment of supreme truth during Obama’s speech Wednesday night; lamentably for Obama, it rolled off the tongue of the very charismatic Rep. Joe Wilson as he interrupted Obama, mid-lie, with the utterance, “You lie!” The catalyst that seemingly ignited Joe Wilson’s enthusiastic interjection was Obama’s deceptive statement that illegal immigrants would not be covered under his universal health care program. Joe Wilson, apparently temporarily possessed by the Holy Ghost of honesty, was left no choice other than to attempt to cast out the demonic spirit of misstatement that had set up shop in Obama’s vocal chords.

For the sake of brevity and bandwidth, merely a meager sampling of Obama’s forgery of truths told during, what can only be construed as a world class performance of lies, will be featured, and the health care/illegal fabrication is just one, (substantiation to follow directly, as the Joe Wilson situation needs my attention stat).

The Democrats and John McCain are still gnashing their teeth and grinding away precious micrometers of enamel over Joe Wilson’s lack of civility. Let’s be clear about this civility business: for the Democrats to evoke civility would be akin to a pirate beseeching his brethren for civility in the midst of a rum ladened booty distribution affair on some remote wharf. At what level of civility would a speech that is filled with dishonesty, distortion, and slander rank against Joe Wilson’s transgression? At what level of civility is a speech administered by a dilettante mountebank that, obviously grasping for relevance and frustration, when not lying, spent his rhetorical capital, in Quixotesque fashion, charging at imaginary enemies, naysayers, and antagonists, or for short, Republicans? To further drive home the moral and intellectual iniquity of the Democratic Party, Pirate Pelosi had the following assessment of Obama’s speech: “last night, President Obama delivered what I believe to be one of the greatest speeches ever delivered in the Congress of the United States.” Of all the statesmen, presidents, and Founding Fathers in possession of profound intellect, character, elocution, and principles, that have passed through this country’s government, this statement, this obscene discernment of Obama’s 45 minutes of lies, is an odorous abomination. I am sorry, and feel compelled to apologize to any pirate that may have taken exception to the Pelosi comparison, as your disparagement is indisputable.

Obama said he was tired of “dishonest debate and scare tactics,” so he accomplished two things with his ensuing and comforting statement against dishonesty and scare tactics: he told seven lies with seven scare tactics in seven consecutive sentences: “Everyone in this room knows what will happen if we do nothing. Our deficit will grow. More families will go bankrupt. More businesses will close. More Americans will lose their coverage when they are sick and need it most. And more will die as a result. We know these things to be true.”

Obama will react with punitive action anyone who disregards his command to buy health insurance: “Individuals will be required to carry basic health insurance – just as most states require you to carry auto insurance,” he bleated. Of course, it is a lie. No state requires everyone to carry automobile insurance unless they choose to drive on public roads. His analogy and universal health care plan, in its most simplistic form, would be the equivalent of requiring everyone to purchase automobile insurance, even if they did not own an automobile, but instead chose to ride the bus and pay their own way.

Obama believes that you believe him when he believes that you believe he can add 30-47 million people (this number seems to be a highly mobile target);to the insurance rolls and not add “one dime” to the deficit. He is attempting to interpolate the success of an economically efficient Medicare, but, in Democratic fashion, lifts up the corner of the rug and sweeps under the inconsequential $30 trillion dollar price of Medicare’s cost, along with the fact that a mechanism to procure the funds does not exist. But his track record on government efficiency, which he continues to trumpet as the save-all to everything, is critically anemic. His cash-for-clunkers program is the epitome of waste–even by government standards. The math: 690,000 new cars sold (majority were foreign autos), taxpayer cost of $3 billion, $1.22 paid to the dealerships, and the government’s $1.36 billion in administration costs for this mini-bubble. This, my abacus wielding skeptics, is why Obama says “not one dime,” will be added to the deficit, but outside the province of Democratic fantasia, according to the Congressional Budget Office, the cost will be upwards of $1.6 trillion. But, in all fairness to Obama, he is telling the truth about not adding “one dime” to the deficit, he just won’t tell you that medical services will be rationed to accomplish it, is the modus operandi. upon which all government run health care systems. I, too, could also balance the federal budget in less than a year, if given the pleasure, by gutting a couple of thousand government programs.

It was Obama’s quantitative prevarication about the exclusion of illegal immigrants from the health care reform bill that uncorked the tourette-like verbal explosion of Joe Wilson’s furor. Obama and the facts are, once again, in familiar territory by co-existing on two completely different planes. The Congressional Research Service (they actually read House Bill HR 3200), released the portion of the bill dedicated to illegal immigrants and health care:

Illegal aliens in the US who meet the “substantial presence” test would be required to participate in the health-care “exchanges” and would have access therefore to the subsidies and the public option, if it exists in the final form of the bill (page 4):

Under H.R. 3200, all legal permanent residents (LPRs),23 nonimmigrants, and unauthorized aliens who meet the substantial presence test (defined above) would be required to obtain health insurance. Noncitizens meeting the definition of nonresident aliens (e.g., temporary visitors, temporary workers in the United States for less than 183 days in the year) would not be required to obtain health insurance. Notably, the IRC does not contain special rules for individuals who are in the United States without authorization (i.e., illegal or unauthorized aliens). Instead, the IRC treats these individuals in the same manner as other foreign nationals-an unauthorized individual who has been in the United States long enough to qualify under the substantial presence test is classified as a resident alien; otherwise, the individual is classified as a nonresident alien. Thus, it would appear that unauthorized aliens who meet the substantial presence test would be required under H.R. 3200 to have health insurance.

One of two scenarios unfolded within the past two weeks: 17 million uninsured rapidly migrated to the ranks of the insured, thus causing the 47 million uninsured over which Obama has been anguishing over to rapidly recede to just 30 million because, well, quite frankly, because he is the One, or because Obama is actually being truthful with his assessment of there only existing 30 million uninsured presently, but the caveat is his consequent hapless enterprise of granting citizenship to the 17 million illegal immigrants, thus, technically, making his statement astonishingly true.

Obama’s speech was broadcast on all the major networks except Fox. Serendipitously, Fox ran “So You Think You Can Dance” against Obama and emerged the victor. Fox dominated the highly coveted adult 18-49 and 18-34 demographics, a magnificent coup. So while Obama tangoed cheek to cheek with deceit, Fox was raking in the advertising dough.

Lies, deceit, Congressional approval, and pirates aside, the mother-load of obstacles for Obama and the substantive heart of HR 3200, and especially the mandate requiring the purchase of health care insurance by a non-interested citizen, further layered with punitive action for refusing, educe the incipient stages of the FDR administration and the unequivocal defeat of the New Deal by the Supreme Court. The great thing about this Republic and its rule of law by the Constitution, is neither Obama nor Congress have the constitutional authority to implement nor enforce this draconian husk of health care. Keep in mind, that at 1300 pages, this bill is not about health care.
